Evan Lanier of Carlisle, Ohio (grandson of well-known bass player Noel Bolen), was surrounded at a young age by the greatest musicians of the Dayton/Cincinnati area. Evan was steeped in the tradition and artistry of Bluegrass. From travelling the Midwest with Evan Lanier and The Bluegrass Express, to travelling the US and Canada with The Kody Norris Show, as well as with Larry Sparks and The Lonesome Ramblers, Evan has over 20 years of experience in music. His driving banjo and exceptional guitar picking and stellar mandolin playing make him an asset to any band.

Also if you go to the Bluegrass Express tab you can find testimonials from different writers when Evan was younger.
Evan plays a little bit of everything,
Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, Fiddle, Bass, Dobro.
Noel Bolen started teaching him to play the mandolin around age 4; soon after he picked up the guitar, then the banjo and so on.
Around 2005, when Evan was 8, Evan Lanier & The Bluegrass Express was formed.
The Bluegrass Express still preforms today. You can check out that tab over to the left!
